Why does Lazyness choose us?

No one wishes to be lazy, be inactive, have a boring life (and eventually being surrounded by boring people).

We all want to have an interesting life, be an interesting person, and be surrounded by interesting (and good) people.

But then why do we let Laziness sit on us every day?

Because we like Comfort. Anything new (learning, researching, reaching out to new people) is Not Comfortable. It requires Effort. It triggers Fear. It wakes up all our individual character issues. It recalls childhood bad memories (a stupid teacher punishing us). And, in the end, the most detrimental question, “Why should I do this?”, finally makes us question our any Effort.

An effort is not something to be questioned too much but Lived. Do I want to live with Effort or with empty Comfort?

Still, we cannot change what our lazy Brain wants. It wants Comfort. And, the great news is, it gets used to any Comfort. It can be a comfort of doing Nothing every day, or it can be a Comfort of doing Something every day. Both are Comforts. Which one do you choose?

In conclusion, the only way to eliminated empty Comfort is through other Comfort. I call it “Cultivated Comfort”, the Comfort which will bring You and Your life to the level you want to be.
